Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
This Chocolate Cherry Smoothie is like a creamy chocolate dessert but with the added benefits of antioxidants, fiber, and protein! Rich and decadent, but something you'll feel good about indulging in!

- 8 oz plant milk (I prefer soy)
- 1 ½ cups cherries, frozen or fresh (if using fresh cherries, add a handful of ice cubes)
- 1 packed cup spinach
- 1-2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
- 3 Tbsp flaxseed meal
- 1 Tbsp almond butter or peanut butter
- ½ of a banana
- ¼-½ tsp maple syrup or agave syrup
Garnish
- 1 tsp nut butter + water for drizzle
- sprinkle of cocoa or cacao powder
- cacao nibs (optional)
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Taste, and add anything more it may need.
For nut butter drizzle, mix 1 tsp nut butter with a small splash of water in a small bowl until smooth and thinned out. use a spoon to drizzle over the top of the smoothie. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top and optional cacao nibs. Enjoy!
