Ingredients

  • Avocado Oil for sautéing
  • 4 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar or fire cider if you make it!
  • 3 tsp Liquid Aminos or Tamari or sub soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Molasses
  • 3 tsp Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 3 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp Liquid Smoke
  • ⅛-¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • Dash of Cinnamon
  • Sprig Rosemary minced ((optional))

Instructions

  • Heat avocado oil on medium heat in a tall pot and sauté garlic for 30 seconds, being careful not to let it burn.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, reduce heat to low.  Add all remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer on low for 15-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.

Notes

Use BBQ sauce immediately or allow sauce to cool and store in a well-sealed container for up to 1 week in the fridge or freeze for 2-3 months.
